Due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, our retail store and the adjoining Ottawa Pinball Arcade will be closed to the public for the foreseeable future, which based on the most recent projections, and our discussions with Ontario Government representatives, will most likely be several months to upwards of two years before we can reopen our Arcade, and many weeks before we will be able to allow limited numbers of customers into the Pinball Medics Sales area at a given time.
We have altered our business model to accommodate the orders of our Federal, Provincial, and local Municipal Governments, and are following all measures prescribed by the associated Health Authorities these orders are based on.
These changes make it impossible for us to open our doors to the public, but as all retailers with an e-commerce sales component are encouraged, we are able to offer curb-side pickup and delivery when you purchase from our online store, allowing for strict “No Contact” processing of orders. We are adjusting to the new reality that most retailers are facing, and taking all measure available to protect our crew of Medics and the Public.
This is a fluid situation, and we will be updating our processes and policies in real time as new information is made available, following the direction of the respective Authorities as they are received.
While Pinball Medics has recently added it’s retail store-front, rest assured that these changes will not affect the quality service we have been providing selling Pinball Parts across Canada online and Pinball Machine Sales in Ottawa, and throughout Canada with our partners at Day & Ross. In fact, we have far more experience as full time dedicated online retailers for over 5 years, and are still continuing to refine our online processes to make your experience easier and more comfortable, and will look forward to seeing you again in person as soon as our shop is open to the public once more.
One tough thing is that our strongest selling feature in person is the fact that our games play better than new. This is easy to claim, but discerning players will sniff out short cuts quickly. Whether it be weak flippers, lights that don’t work, switches not registering, intermittent reset issues (always in the middle of a high score worthy game), sound problems, or any of the myriad of issues that pop up when buying most used machines in the wild.
While we can rely on our reputation after selling games for this long, and after so many locals clients having played our games at the Arcade, we will nonetheless be expanding our online Pinball Sales “Showroom” to allow for the most accurate representation possible from a remote location. Not just to show what the cosmetic condition of the unit is in, but to show it not just working, but working incredibly well. We will be featuring extensive photographs, detailing all upgrades and maintenance performed, and including actual video footage of each game being put through its paces to demonstrate to the best of our ability that each game is in fact up to the standards we pride ourselves on and adhere too always.
Once you have chosen a Machine, we offer no contact delivery, as well as curbside pick-up at our Manotick and Montreal locations at this time. Once you have purchased your game online, we will contact you by email to arrange a convenient delivery date and make all arrangements.
For our repair service, machines can be dropped off by appointment at our Ottawa / Manotick and Montreal locations, and picked up after we contact you to let you know they are ready.
Parts sales are still being delivered by Canada Post across Canada, and are also available for curb-side pickup in Ottawa.
Board repairs can be dropped off or shipped through Canada Post. Some delays in processing due to shipping slowdowns may be expected, but most should be ready within 2 weeks or less.
We apologize for any inconvenience and continue to do our best to serve our clients during this difficult time.
Please stay safe and follow all recommendations made by your Local and Federal Health Authorities.
Thank you for all your support!
